Self-Guided Walking Tour of Clifton.

Jul 2, 2021

CHIS has developed a self-guided walking tour entitled 'Clifton's Origins & Architecture', which is now available via the free-to-download VoiceMap app. It was written and recorded by members of CHIS and is aimed at both residents and visitors.

The tour uses your phone's GPS to play the commentary at the appropriate location and to give directions. The route is about 2 miles long and has information about Clifton's history and about many of its principal tourist attractions. It starts and ends at the corner of Princess Victoria Street and Regent Street and, as it is in two loops, may be completed as two shorter walks.

The tour can be bought via the VoiceMap app or the website and, in due course, through some local businesses and other outlets. Any surplus from the sales will go towards furthering CHIS objectives.

It would be helpful if people would leave comments and ratings on the app once they have completed the tour.
