Remembrance Sunday 10th November Service at St Andrews Churchyard War Memorial

There will be a short service and the laying of British Legion poppy wreaths organised by Father Cavan at 2.00 pm at the St Andrews Churchyard War Memorial on Sunday 10th November. We hope to see many local families at this event.

CHIS Committee and our members will be there to commemorate all those who gave their lives and who lived in Clifton and Hotwells, both in World War One and Two, as well as those conflicts that have occurred right through into the 21st Century , (Malaya, Korea, Suez, Cyprus, N Ireland, Falklands, Iraq and Afghanistan).

*Poppy Selling - Sat 9th November 10.00 am - 4.00 pm by the Cubs / Beavers We will be selling the poppies off Boyce’s Avenue (near Café Nero) from 10am – 4.00 pm, as it is a safer place for them to use.

The 7th Bristol (Pavey) Scouts and Guides are holding their Service at 10.45 am, some of you who have children in the Scouts and Guides will be able attend as part of this new morning service. They will process from Pavey House in Waterloo Street at 10.30 am.

Do try to support both or at least one of these Community led Remembrance Services.
