Bristol City Council: Cuts to Local Services

Jul 13, 2017

BCC has recently announced a number of proposed cuts to services which affect Bristol 8, notably the following:

Public Toilets

Those at the Clifton end of the Suspension Bridge, at Sea Walls, Durham Downs (Stoke Road) and the urinals at the top of Blackboy Hill are all scheduled for closure.

Libraries

Both Clifton and Redland libraries are to be closed.

Neighbourhood Partnership

Funding for all such partnerships will cease.

CHIS will be looking at these proposals and there will be a report in the August Newsletter. In the meanwhile it is important that all residents take advantage of the opportunity to comment on line. Information cards are available in the libraries and hard copies of the consultative document can be obtained and posted to BCC. The consultation is open until Sept 5th.
