The Bristol Suffragettes

Nov 22, 2016

In 1907 the militant suffragettes brought their fight for women's right to vote to Bristol and the West Country. How gratified these courageous women would be to see that, thanks to them, Britain is about to have its second female prime minister.

It is, therefore, a most appropriate time for CHIS to welcome Lucienne Boyce to talk to us about the part played by local women in the women's suffrage campaign.

Members and friends are welcome to this talk which will take place at 8pm (doors open at 7.30pm) at Clifton Cathedral, Pembroke Rd. Details as for previous events (above) at this venue.
